The mosquito eater ( Conopophagidae ) are a family in the order of perching birds ( Passeriformes ). The family belongs to only one genus ( Conopophaga ) with eight species. A relationship is to the potter birds and ants birds.

The distribution of mosquito eater is located in Central and South America. They inhabit mainly the forests and pawing the ground for insects. The plumage is mostly brown, the legs as opposed to the rounded body long and the short beak resembles that of the flycatcher.
