Gödöllő
Gödöllő [ Godol ː ø ː ] (Eng. Getterle ) is a city in Hungary Pest County.
Geography
Gödöllő is located about 30 km north-east of Budapest, covers 6,198 acres and has 34 396 inhabitants ( 2011).
History
The area of the village was demonstrably sparsely populated since the 14th century; the already small population decreased during the Turkish occupation (since 1541) even further.
The rise Gödöllős began in 1737, when the village was acquired by the eminent Hungarian landowners Antal Grassalkovich I, with the Gödöllő was built since 1741 here was the seat of his family, Hungary's largest baroque palace. Since January 1, 1966 Gödöllő has city status.

After the withdrawal of the last Soviet troops quartered in the Royal Castle in 1990 this was largely restored and converted into a cultural center. In the castle premises for celebrations (eg weddings ) can be rented.
