Gohar Ayub Khan

Muhammad Ayub ( born June 15, 1914 in Bhera ) was a Pakistani diplomat.

Life

Muhammad Ayub was the son of Muhammed and Fazalbi lshaque, he married in 1937 Bushra Ayub. He studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 1933, he earned a bachelor 's degree at University College London. During his studies he was chairman of the Indian Student Union. In 1936 he was barrister at Gray 's Inn. In 1936, he joined the Indian Civil Service. From 1935 to 1936 he was the All-India Table Tennis Champion.

From 1936 to 1941 he was employed in the Punjab. From 1942 to 1947, engaged in the supply and trading division of British India. 1947 to 1954 he was employed in the trade and Finance of Pakistan. 1947-1952 was legation rat at the Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations. From 1954 to 1955, participants of the Eisenhower Fellowships exchange program. 1955 to 1960 he headed the Pakistan Industrial Development Corpn. From 1960 to 1961 he was secretary of the Treasury. From July 6, 1961 until September 21, 1964, he was Ambassador in Bonn. From 1 October 1962, he was consecutively ambassador in Brussels. In 1965 he represented the Pakistani government to the European Atomic Energy Community. Heinrich Lübke awarded him the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit.
