Gonzalo de los Santos

Gonzalo de los Santos da Rosa ( born July 19, 1976 in Salto ) is a former Uruguayan football player and current coach.

Playing career

Association

At the age of 15 years of Saltener came in the Uruguayan capital Montevideo and joined Peñarol and first played in the Quinta División. The 1.89 meter tall midfielder was allowed then me exercising for the first time in October 1994 in the First team. His actual career began then in the Apertura 1995 ( 24 games, two goals), as in the Primera División was used. After he was still in the Apertura 1997 rows of Aurinegros and thus in the three championships in 1995, 1996 and 1997 was part of the squad, he played in the season 1997/98 on his first foreign stop 31 Erstligabegegnungen (two goals) for CP Mérida. In the 1998/99 season he ran for the first time then its time Spanish second division club Málaga CF on, to which he remained faithful even after the recent rise in that season until the end of the series 2000/ 01. In the following two seasons of Valencia was his employer. There he came to La Liga 30 inserts (two goals). It was followed by a year at Premier League rivals Atlético Madrid ( 32 games, three goals). The interim return to Valencia ended after a disputed game, so he ran aground in 16 Erstligapartien for RCD Mallorca after resuming change of location that season 2004/ 05. 2005/ 06 again disregarded standing in the squad of Valencia, followed by two more years in Spain at Hércules CF. Then he returned in August 2008 after Uruguay Peñarol to the starting point of his career, where he played from the Apertura 2008 until at least the Apertura 2009.

National

De los Santos was also a member of the national team of Uruguay, for until his last mission on June 4, 2005, he graduated from his debut on August 25, 1996 33 international matches in which he scored one international goal. (Updated: October 16, 2012) In 1997 he was part of the squad at the FIFA Confederations Cup. In 2002 he took part in the World Cup and came to a use as a substitute.

Coaching career

After the sixth round of the 2013/14 season, he broke Luis Duarte from a responsible coach for the Uruguayan first division club Miramar Misiones.

De los Santos is the father of three children.
