Göran Tunström
Göran Tunström ( born May 14, 1937 in Karlstad, † February 5, 2000 in Stockholm) was a Swedish writer.
Life
Tunström was born in Karlstad and grew up in Sunne, Värmland.
In his hometown Many of his novels. His father was a pastor and died when Göran Tunström was young. The author himself lived for many years in Stockholm, and died there in 2000. As one of the most famous writers of his country to him many important prizes were awarded. He was, for example, 1984 Literature Prize of the Nordic Council and the 1987 Selma Lagerlöf - prize.
The writer began to write poetry, what one observes also his prose works, which have a special pictorial. Respect extremely positive is the loving and sympathetic handling of the author with his people. His works have been translated into numerous languages.
In Solveigs legacy of the author treats the subject with great sensitivity by the loss of a loved one. The story takes place in the first half of the 20th century. Aron's wife Solveig came at a young age by an accident. Now is portrayed as the man tries to build a new life with his children. In flashbacks but also the story of Aron and Solveig is rolled up. However, Aron never really comes across to the loss of his wife. Also, the other inhabitants of the village are sometimes quite humorous, illustrated, including the famous writer Selma Lagerlöf heard, and we learn how the son of Aron and Solveig grows into a young man.
The novel The Moon drinkers plays in Iceland. There the young Pétur grows up with his widowed father Halldór. The mother, a loner metallic volcanologist with a clear tendency to mysticism, which somehow more of a fairy ( an elf? ) Is similar as a people, never disappeared under unclear circumstances during a volcanic eruption of Hekla. The father -son relationship is initially very loving, but of working in broadcasting father also calls for all kinds of his son. Later evolved when the son has first love relationships, a significant rivalry between the two. Pétur, the son, later moving to France, where he built in business on their own life. It was late, shortly before his death, he reconciled again with the now senile father.
