Gordon Watkinson

Gordon Watkinson (* 1964 in Charlottesville, Virginia) is an American visual artist.

Life

Watkinson graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University. There he attended the age of 24 a photography class, which sparked his interest in photography. After graduating, he worked as a commercial photographer, shot commercials and videos for the company. In the late 1990s he attended the Bauhaus Dessau, which influenced his understanding of design. He worked as an architectural photographer and exhibited his paintings of important Bauhaus architecture at the exhibition " Bauhaus twenty - 21" internationally. He taught, among others, at the National Museum of Oslo and the Bauhaus University Weimar.
