Gorkha Airlines

Gorkha Airlines is an airline based in Kathmandu, Nepal, which operated from Pokhara airport.

History

Gorkha Airlines was founded in 1996. At the foundation was used helicopters, which have been replaced by new Dornier 228 aircraft in the course of time.

Destinations

Gorkha Airlines flies regionally to the high-altitude airports of the Himalayas.

Incidents

To date, the airline had a total loss. This occurred on 30 June 2005 against 07:30 clock with a Dornier 228- machine, built in 1983. Upon landing at Tenzing - Hillary Airport with the difficult aerodrome runway the aircraft fell from it and was so badly damaged that it depreciated had to be. The 12 occupants survived, but were slightly injured.
