Gotabhaya Rajapaksa
Gotabhaya Rajapaksa ( born June 20, 1949) is a politician from Sri Lanka. He's since November 2005 Defence Minister of his country. Gotabhaya Rajapakse is the brother of the current president Mahinda Rajapaksa (November 2011).
18 November 2011 a court sentenced Sarath Fonseka, a general who joined after the Civil War into politics and ran against Mahinda Rajapaksa in the 2010 presidential election, to three years in prison. He was accused made false accusations against Gotabhaya Rajapakse and thus " spreading rumors and provide for public disorder " to have. Fonseka had claimed in an interview that Gotabhaya Rajapaksa had ordered the execution of the resulting Tamil rebels in May, 2009.
