Götz Otto
Götz Otto ( * October 15, 1967 in Offenbach am Main, Hesse ) is a German actor. He had his international best-known role in Tomorrow Never Dies.
Life
Otto's parents ran a bakery in Dietzenbach. After graduating from high school at the Leibniz Offenbach school he attended the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and Munich's Otto Falkenberg School. In 1991 he played at the Schiller Theater in Berlin.
During his training at the Academy of Performing Arts in Graz and the Otto Falkenberg School in Munich (1989-1993) took over Götz Otto roles at the Schiller Theater in Berlin and the Munich Chamber games. From 1993 to 1995 he played in the Residenz Theater Munich and even in some television and feature films. Abruptly known internationally, he was then, however, with his role as a henchman of the villain in Tomorrow Never Dies.
This was followed by concise roles at home and abroad, in three films by Spanish director Fernando Trueba ( The girl of your dreams, original title La niña de tus ojos, El embrujo de Shanghai, El Artista y la modelo ), in Johnny Campbell's English fantasy comedy Alien Autopsy - the all time to make friends and comedy in the Bavarian border traffic - most recently in Oliver Mielke caper comedy Ossi 's Eleven (2008). On television, "busy" Götz Otto very different genres - from action (Millennium Man, 2005), a romantic melodrama ( Apollonia (film), two-part 2005) to the Christmas comedy ( Save the Christmas Goose, 2007). From January to March 2008, he also played back in front of theater audiences in modern comedy, and guests in the evening at Berlin's " Theater am Kurfürstendamm ". In addition to his acting work Otto heard street stars to rate pool of the HR mission.
In 2004, played the 1.96 meter Götz Otto in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Downfall the Sturmbannführer Otto Günsche. In summer 2005 he played as a villain " Harry Melton " in the ensemble of the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg. He plays a major player in the production Energia Iron Sky (2012 ). He also had a role as a voice actor in the play " Harvey's New Eyes " by Daedalic.
On December 7, 2010 Götz Otto scored the first place in the TV Total Pokerstars.de night and won a cash prize of 50,000 euros.
In 2013, Götz Otto hired under the project 365 days - and every single one! for the German Children's Cancer Foundation, in which he the radio play Max & Moritz lent his voice together with Hans -Joachim Heist.
Götz Otto is married, has three daughters and one son and lives with his family in Munich. He is an avowed fan of the TSV 1860 München.
