Government Buildings (Dublin)

In the Government Buildings (Irish Tithe to Rialtais ), Merrion Street, Dublin, the Department of the Prime Minister, the Council Chamber, which hosts the government meetings, the Treasury and the Attorney General's office are housed.

The building was built from 1904 to 1922 and housed government offices and, in the central part of the building, the Royal College of Science.

It was built by the architect Sir Aston Webb from London and Thomas Manley Dean of Cork. The building is in the style of the magnificent Edwardian Baroque. The facade consists of rough granite and smooth bright Portland limestone.

The College of Science 1926 University College Dublin is connected, the left the building again in 1989, and the building was renovated by the architects of the Office of Public Works.
