Grabie, Opole Voivodeship

Heinrichsfelde (Polish Grabie ) is an Upper Silesian village in the municipality Lugnian north of the city of Opole and thus belongs to the Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

The town was first mentioned in 1783.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 212 voters voted to remain in Germany and 13 for Poland. Heinrichsfelde remained with the German Reich. 1939, the place had 610 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Grabie and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. 1999, the place came with the reintroduction of the counties to the powiat Opolski. On 30 April 2010, the City also received the official German place names Heinrichsfelde.
