Grammaticality

Grammaticality (also: grammaticality, grammatical correctness ) is one of Noam Chomsky introduced into linguistics term that refers to the grammatical rule conformity of ( well-formedness ) of linguistic expressions in terms of a language model ( a grammar ).

The contradictory opposite is also called ungrammaticality. Ungrammatical sentences or shapes are featured in linguistics with an asterisk (*).
