Gramps

GRAMPS is a genealogy program for Linux, Windows and MacOS X.

The program allows the input, management and output of genealogical data. It supports the popular GEDCOM format.

The access to the data via the arrayed on the left side views. "Persons" leads all people to a table. "Relationships" shows to a chosen person parents, siblings, spouses, and children. About " families " to reach all known pairs. Behind 'ancestors' hides a pedigree that shows to the selected person up to eight generations of ancestors. "Events" lists all events, such as birth, marriage, death, and numerous others, in chronological order. Under " Places " you will find the registered locations of various events. "Geography" shows these places on a map of Google Maps or OpenStreetMap. Further additions listen to sources, repositories, media, and notes.

The filtered or unfiltered data can be exported in various formats, for example as a graphical tree that textually as a book or in the form of a website. The selection of people can be doing very fine meet. Many fields are formulation of selection rules available. To link multiple rules can be selected if at least one, exactly one, or all rules must be met. The selection result can also be reversed, so that exactly the people are detected, the do not fit the rules.
