Grand Prix of Houston

The Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston is an automobile race in the highest category in American Championship Car Racing in Houston, Texas, United States.

Under the name Texaco Grand Prix of Houston in 1998, the event was first held as part of the CART series at the Houston Street Circuit. Until 2001, the Grand Prix was on the track, which was near the George R. Brown Convention Center. 2006 returned to the Grand Prix of Houston back in the Champ Car series. This time the JAGFlo Speedway was elected at Reliant Park as the venue. After setting the Champ Car series at end of season 2007, the Grand Prix of Houston has been relisted.

2013 returned to the race under the name Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston in the IndyCar Series back. The event remained at Reliant Park, the track was in MD Anderson Cancer Center Speedway renamed and slightly modified.
