Grand Tavé

Corbassièregletscher and Grand Tave (slightly right of center )

The Grand Tave ( 3'158 m above sea level. M. ) is a mountain east of Corbassièregletschers in the Pennine Alps in Switzerland. The relatively easily scalable summit forms the end point of the Tournelon Blanc ( 3,707 m above sea level. M. ) north of the Otanes withdrawing ridge and is known for its views.

Routes

The mountain is climbed almost exclusively from the north, from the Otanes ( 2'846 m above sea level. M. ). You can get there either from the Cabane de Panossiere or from Lac de Mauvoisin in the Bagnes.

From the Otanes it goes southeast through couloirs and steep rubble to the north ridge of the mountain. From the wide north back the increase then leads slightly uphill north to a Einschartung shortly before the actual summit. From there it is easier to create a piece to cross into the western flank as zuzuhalten directly on the ridge to the summit.

Until the Otanes the increase is marked. From the Otanes can be reached in just under an hour of the summit, at the Cabane de Panossiere are 1 ½ hours to be estimated.
