Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg

The Grand Théâtre de la ville de Luxembourg is a place for theater, opera and ballet in Luxembourg.

The theater was opened after four years of construction in 1964. As an architect Alain Bourbonnais Frenchman served ( 1925-1988 ). There is a " Grande Salle " with 934 seats and a " studio" with 400 seats. In the theater, the Concours Euro Vision Song Contest was held in 1973 and 1984.

At the inauguration, the theater was called Nouveau Théâtre de Luxembourg, after long Théâtre municipal and Luxembourg since 2003 Grand théâtre de la ville de Luxembourg.
