Grandma 's Reading Glass is a British short film made in 1900 by George Albert Smith. The film was released in November of 1900.
Movie Plot
An elderly lady reads with a magnifying glass a daily newspaper and can thus recognize letters better. When her grandson Willy takes the magnifying glass in hand, he finds that things are bigger around him.
Background information
The film is one of the first films to be shot with different camera angles. The scenes with the magnifying glass were reinforced by a circular image.
Harold Smith had been seen earlier in 1898 in George Albert Smith's film Santa Claus and 1900 in The House That Jack Built.
