Grantig

Sulking was a German metal band from Munich. The word " grumpy " (as Grantigkeit, Grantler ) comes from the Bavarian, and means something like " mad " or "angry".

History

The band was founded in 2004. After the first performances in and around Munich at the end of 2005, the first demo CD was recorded. It was followed by other appearances, including as a support for welders, and the second demo CD, with the band finally managed to sign a record deal with Drakkar Records in August 2007. In the months that followed the debut album was how it should be written, recorded and released on February 1, 2008. On 1 May 2009, the second album was followed by medicine. In January 2010, the band announced that Jonathan Schmid was succeeded by his brother Vincent Schmid as a singer. A few months later, Alex and Jonas Negret Wind Weir left the band. They were replaced by Florian Albrecht and Oliver Diller. On 31 May 2011 the band announced its dissolution.

Style

Musically oriented Sulking of bands from the southern states of the United States, such as Pantera, Down or Corrosion of Conformity and produce a mixture of thrash metal and hardcore with influences of Southern rock. The texts are held in German language.
