Grapher

Videographer is a computer program, which is sold as part of the operating system, Mac OS X by Apple. It allows both simple and complex graphs, two - and three-dimensional display them graphically. The scope of the appended Videographer outline the program examples, ranging from differential and integral equations on toroids up to Lorenz attractors. The skills also include the representation of functions and combinations derselbigen. The representation of a graph can be customized by changing the color of the lines is varied, a surface is assigned by many pattern one or comments are added, which in addition can be formatted. With Grapher animations can be created by either constants of the graph can be changed or the view is rotated on the graph.

History

Before there was Mac OS X, has been Graphing Calculator, which is similar to today's Grapher, as part of previous Apple operating systems since 1994, more than 20 million sold times. With the introduction of Mac OS X is a graph program was lacking in functionality of the operating system. On July 22, 2004 Apple bought the program Curvus Arizona Pro X software, calling it into Graphing Calculator, before it was decided to name Videographer. The news was published on 15 September 2004 at AppleInsider.

Functions

Grapher is a comprehensive program for graphical calculations, able to create both 2D and 3D graphs, either by means of Euclidean, log, log-log or polar coordinates, even vector fields are possible. Grapher is a Cocoa application that uses the Mac OS X APIs, as well as the brushed metal surface. The simultaneous display of multiple graphs within a coordinate system is possible as well as the export of equations in the format LaTeX. It is one of the few upscale graphics programs that can export standards-compliant vector graphics.
