Graves (system)

GRAVES (French grand réseau à la veille adapté spatial ) is a French military radar system.

It is since 2005 and serves the orbit determination of artificial satellites. The transmitter at Broye Aubigney - Montseugny (47 ° 20 ' 53 " N, 5 ° 30' 54" O47.3485.5151 ) transmits on a frequency of 143.050 MHz, the receiving station is located 364 km south of it at Revest -du- Bion ( 44 ° 4 ' 17 " N, 5 ° 32' 5" O44.07155.5346 ).

The system was developed by ONERA and operated by the Armée de l'air.
