Green Bowerbird ( Ailuroedus crassirostris )
The Green Bowerbird ( Ailuroedus crassirostris ) is a domestic in the rainforest of eastern Australia Songbird.
Features
The 33 cm long green leaves bird bears a white speckled green plumage, with a slightly darker head. The sharp beak is white, the iris red. The young bird is colored a bit more subtle.
Food
Usually go green foliage birds in pairs or small groups in the upper and middle areas of forest canopy in search of food. The Green Warbler feeds on fruits, especially figs, flowers and other plant foods. Even young birds and small reptiles belong to the food.
Reproduction
Unlike other birds, the male leaves green leaves bird builds no bowers and is monogamous. It attracts with cat-like and wailing cries and luffing head to the female. A large cup nest is built in forked branches on tree ferns or Schlingpflanzengewirr. Both parents take care of the rearing of the young.
