Greetje Kauffeld

Greetje purchase field (* November 26 1939 in Rotterdam) is a Dutch pop and jazz singer. In the 1960s it was known in Germany, especially as a pop singer.

Life

Greetje grew up in Rotterdam and sang as a child hits American Artists by. During school, she sang in the school choir. At age 13, she sang in a young band that took part at Radio Hilversum in a competition. Meanwhile, the family moved to Zeeland. After school Greetje first learned the profession of a telephone operator. At 16, she became the lead singer of the " Skymasters ", a known companion. In 1986, Greetje own jazz trio in which she contributed the voice, the other two tenor saxophone and guitar. After that she received several jazz awards and honors, including the " Gouden Notenkraker " and the Jazz Prize of the City s Hertogenbosch. In 2002, Greetje purchase box with jazz pianist Dirk Raufeisen the program " A Lovely Way to Spend an Evening " together.

2005 began a collaboration with the Swingin ' Fireballs from Bremen. There was a Christmas CD, which was published in 2006 by Mons Records.
