Greg Lewis (wide receiver)

Gregory Alan " Greg" Lewis ( born February 12, 1980 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American former American football player at the position of wide receiver. He played with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League ( NFL).

Career

College

Lewis attended the University of Illinois, played in the football team, however only a minor role and received a scholarship. He left college without sports awards.

NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver committed the 2003 ungedraftet. During his time with the Eagles, he completed 90 games, caught 127 passes for 1,699 yards and seven touchdowns space gain. In March 2009, Lewis came in a barter transaction to the New England Patriots, but there was dismissed early in the season of his contract.

A few days later, Lewis signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He began the same month, in his first game for the Vikings, the game-winning touchdown for 27:24 against the San Francisco 49ers. At this time, only two seconds to play. The contract was extended for another year in the spring of 2010.
