Gregorio Lazzarini

Gregorio Lazzarini (* 1655 in Venice, † 1730 in Villabona ) was an Italian painter.

He was based in Venice and teacher of Giovanni Battista Tiepolo and Gaspare Diziani. His father was a barber. Gregorio Lazzarini specialized in portrait mythology and history topics, and one of the most recognized artists in Venice for youth Tiepolo. Gregorio Lazzarini was one of the leading Venetian painter of the 17th century. He spent his last years at his retirement home in Villabona, where he died in 1730.

His work was very academic and sometimes neoclassical.
