Gøril Snorroeggen

Gøril Snorroeggen (born 15 February 1985 in Trondheim, Norway) is a Norwegian handball player. She is 1.75 m tall.

Career

Snorroeggen who last played for the Norwegian club Team Esbjerg and aground for the Norwegian women's national handball team, was mostly used in the left back. In the season 2004/ 05 she was with 184 hits scorer of the Norwegian Elite Series.

Gøril Snorroeggen grew up in Kattem, a district of Trondheim on. There they began to drive the Kattem IL sports. At age 16, she moved to Byåsen IL, the club for which had been active as a handball player and orienteers have their parents. Gøril first played handball and football and played both sports for international selection of games; Finally, but she opted for hand ball. With the first team in 2003, she debuted in the Norwegian Elite Series and in 2005, 2006 and 2007 runner-up. In 2007, she was in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup. In 2010 she joined the Danish first division club Team Esbjerg. Gøril Snorroeggen has played 102 international matches for the Norwegian women's national handball team. 2004 and 2006, she was with Norway European Champion in the Men's Handball World Championship for Women in France in 2007 she became Vice World Champion. A year later she won at the Olympic Games gold medal. In 2011, she won the world title in Brazil. In summer 2012 Snorroeggen again took part in the Olympic Games in London, where she again won the gold medal. In January 2013 Snorroeggen announced that they will pause for the time being in the national team.

Private

Gøril Snorroeggen is in a relationship with the Norwegian football player Alexander Lund Hansen. Her sister Marte Snorroeggen also plays handball.
