Grižane-Belgrad

Grižane is a village in Croatia. It belongs to the municipality Vinodolska Općina, Primorje - Gorski Kotar. The population is 153 (as of 1991 census ).

The place came in 1225 under the rule of Francopan. He was a fixture in the form of a quadrangle with nonperpendicular tower. 1474 bequeathed Francopan Martin, who had bought the village of his niece, that he founded the monastery itself in Trsat. From the 17th century were the Zrinski owner of the village. In 1671 it was confiscated by the Austrian Court Chamber.

Grižane is the birthplace of the artist Giulio Clovio.
