Gröbern is a district of the municipality Muldestausee district Anhalt-Bitterfeld in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).

Geography

Gröbern between Dessau and Leipzig on the edge of Duebener Heath. In a residual hole of the pit Gröbern built on 36 hectares of Gröberner lake.

History

At the dedication of the church to Wörlitz on December 12, 1200 Gröbern was mentioned for the first time. In the 13th century a chapel was by monks who came from Wörlitz built. In the 15th century the village belonged to the Lord of Rabiel Pouch. 1531 came to the rectory Gröbern Zschornewitz.
