Action
When a group of young people at night with flashlights breaks in an abandoned warehouse, then that can mean only two things: They want to steal or organize a rave. Ernie Townsend (Steve Van Wormer ) and his friends belong to the latter group. Saturday night they drag lights, mirror balls, video screens, mixers and of course a professional turntable in the newly discovered party location. For a good party needs to be well organized. At the same time makes a mysterious e- mail the rounds: It's time to party!
Fast Harmony Stitts have ( Mackenzie Firgens ) and Colin Turner ( Denny Kirkwood ) the good news is forwarded including location and time information to their friends. The response is overwhelming. Only David ( Hamish Linklater ), Colin's older brother may start anything with the announcement. He made a trip from the east coast to San Francisco to finally give his career as an author the right kick. By rotating turntables he does not think much. But Colin desperately wants that David comes along, after all, he wants to surprise Harmony with a marriage proposal, and that in front of so many witnesses as possible. Only reluctantly agrees David.
In fact, he finds himself a little later between dark buildings again. The place is really something left and only he who knows the way exactly is there. Harmony and Colin are professionals in such matters. But no sooner are Harmony, Colin and Dave inside the three have already lost sight of. Amazed, David makes his rounds through the gears, which sometimes border on a dance floor, let the wild masses on their superb freedom of movement. Or, and I like David a lot better, the passage ends in a chill-out zone where at atmospheric sounds that people can relax their mind. David awkward gaze falls the dark, pretty cool beauty Leyla Heydel ( Lola Glaudini ) on. Rather, out of pity, it guides the newbie to the scene, introduces him to the location, the music and the drugs. And it does not take long, since David is on his first trip ...
Criticism
" [ ... ] Game movie without real action. It presents some people [ ... ] among them a newcomer to the scene, removed virtually representative of the audience over the inhibitions and the normality of the techno community should be taught. Further background to the scene as well as problems of the organizers and DJs to be addressed, which emphasizes the liberal use of drugs noticeable. The actual meaning of the whole can not develop and so the film only produces boredom and leaves the impression of spiritual immaturity itself. "
