Groß Schacksdorf-Simmersdorf
Great Schacksdorf - Simmersdorf ( Lower Tšěšojce - Žymjerojce ) is a municipality in the district of Spree- Neisse in Brandenburg ( Germany ). It belongs to the Office Döbern country that has its headquarters in the city Döbern.

Geography
The municipality is located in the southeast of Brandenburg in Lower Lusatia to the Polish border, in the traditional settlement area of the Sorbs / Wends. Great Schack village is surrounded by 23 lakes in their environment, a rich wildlife has settled. Center of the village is the castle, which was built in the 18th century.
South of Great Schacksdorf is the airfield Dash. Access to this former military airfield via the hamlet of Great Schacksdorf - East ( the former NVA housing estate).

History
Great Tzschacksdorf 1346 was first mentioned in the matriculation of the Meissner pin. On October 18, 1937, the renamed United Schacksdorf and on 31 December 2001, the voluntary association with the hitherto equally independent community Simmersdorf.
