The Great nakedness with 527.8 m above sea level. NN is the highest mountain of Solling, Weser mountain country and the Solling -Vogler and belongs to the district of Northeim, in Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

Geographical location

The heavily forested mountain is located approximately 7 km ( straight line ) southwest of Dassel between the nearby villages Hellental in the north-northeast and Silberborn in the southwest. It rises on the southeastern edge of Helle Taler trench through which the Light flows. Beyond or north-west of this trench is located with the Great Ahrensberg the second highest mountain of the Solling.

Summit area

Approximately 150 meters to the southeast past the little pronounced peaks of the Great nakedness runs through dense forest in northeast-southwest direction the country road 549 of Dassel on Silberborn and Neuhaus to Boffzen.

Since 2010 a leading from the summit trail for cross-country skiing is signposted.
