Great freedom is the sixth studio album by the German rock band Unheilig. It was released on 19 February 2010 and debuted at number 1 in the German album charts. The album moves somewhere between pop and New German hardness, the latter especially in the pieces down and under fire. It also appeared as a limited edition of 5,000 pieces Boxset. The album received 7x platinum status in Germany, three times platinum in Austria, as well as 2 times platinum in Switzerland. In August 2010, it sparked Herbert Grönemeyer east from the longest befindliches first place in the Media Control Charts album by a German artist: intermittently it stood 23 weeks in the first place of the charts. Great freedom eventually became the most successful album of the year 2010 in Germany. It was up to now sell more than 1.7 million times.

Reception
