The Great Sand peak in Tyrol is 2770 m above sea level. A. the highest mountain in the Gail Valley Alps, a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps. It is located in the sub-group of the Lienz Dolomites and is popularly known Sunnspitz.

First ascent
