Grube

Mine is a municipality in the district of East Holstein in Schleswig -Holstein. The municipality includes the following villages and pit Places: Dieken Gruber, Gruber Ferry Gruber field, Gruber Hagen, Konzerberg, Much Sindelsdorf Rosenfelde Rosenhof, Schusterkrug, Siggeneben and Weber Kamp.

Geography

Mine is located in Wagrien about 18 km north-east of Neustadt, around 12 km (depending on distance) south-east of Oldenburg and directly south of the eastern part of the Oldenburger Graben. The community is located near the Baltic Sea coast and has the rose fields its own beach, 2.5 km long natural beach on the Bay of Lübeck. The natural area at the Oldenburger Graben between Lübeck and Hohwacht Bay is characterized by a zone of fens and wetlands.

The 2.5 km long beach with partially broad dune is prior to the country's protection dike Rosenfelde - Dahme. In the north and south, two campgrounds located at the Rosenfeld beach. In between is the public part of the beach which is used by Gruber holiday guests. In the southern part of the beach turns into a nudist area.

Policy

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections 2008 six seats and voters Community UGW five.

Management

The over 775 years old St. Jürgen church has a carved 15th century.

Village Museum

The Village Museum is located in a house built in 1890, is typical of pit house. Since 1993, it houses the middle of town, a folklorist and pre-and early history collection, which was compiled by interested residents from mine and the surrounding area.

Issued and documented, inter alia, a fully furnished bedroom in 1900, a school classroom in the 1930s, fishing, Reetgewinnung and processing, the draining of the lake Gruber in 1938, as well as pre-and protohistoric finds. So, for example, shows a production scale of 1:10 the daily life and crafts in the Stone Age. Further, the institutions such as clubs, village-like craft, peasant agriculture and the church that marked the place documented. From the former rectory Gruber, the museum displays a model; the original is in the Freilichtmuseum_Molfsee. In this house John Stricker was created in 1584 published his drama De düdesche Schlömer.

Cemetery

Traffic

Mine is about 3 km inland from Dahme on the B 501, which runs from Neustadt to Fehmarn.

Airfield

A sports airfield, which is used by sail and power planes as part of a club, located in the municipality. Flight operations will therefore concentrate on the weekend. Every year in summer, there is a two-week trial leisure in the context of youth work. As far as the weather permits, flight operations take place throughout the year.
