Grünhainichen

Grünhainichen is a municipality in the Erzgebirge District in Saxony ( Germany ). The municipality consists of the villages and forest Grünhainichen churches and belongs to the administrative organization of Wildenstein. The community is to Seiffen / Erzgeb. the second most important center of the toy manufacture in the Erzgebirge.

Geography

Location

The Waldhufendorf Grünhainichen lies west of the Floeha. It extends in an east-west direction. The highest point of the resort is the Scheffelberg with 501 m, the deepest point is at the Floeha at 328 m. The district forest churches, also a Waldhufendorf lies west of Grünhainichen in a tributary of the Zschopau.

History

Grünhainichen 1349 in Lehnbuch Friedrich III. of austerities for the first time documented as " Heinchin ". With the Reformation in 1539 the place comes to the parish churches forest. The Spoonmaker hanse Oehmen is mentioned in 1579 in the parish register. It is probably the oldest evidence of woodenware in the Erzgebirge. 1711 the first teacher is mentioned. In 1750 a stone bridge over the Floeha is built. The first school building was built in 1787; In the same year the first physician in the place is active. Coat of arms

The community Grünhainichen used a coat of arms with a representation of the Erzgebirge angel lights and two fir trees until 28 February 2009. Thus the importance of the Erzgebirge handcrafts is made clear for the place. With the establishment of a unified community with forest churches, it is now only the local official coat of arms. The new coat of arms shows in addition to traditional Grünhainichener angel as a symbol of the local part Grünhainichen a miner in the Habit of a blue color worker as a symbol of the district forest churches. The spruce trees between the two figures symbolize the forest wealth of the Ore Mountains landscape. Sports

The Grünhainichener Ball Game Club is a football club with a long tradition. On 13 May 1913, the GBC was founded in 1921 for the first time took part in dressing games and celebrated in 1926 his first major success as a master of the district Flöhatal and the rise in the district league.
