Grupo Modelo is a Mexican company with headquarters in Mexico City. It is in stock index Índice de Precios y Cotizaciones (IPC ) on the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores listed.

The company operates as an international beverage company, was founded in 1922 as Cerveceria Modelo. The most well-known distributed by Grupo Modelo brand is Corona.

The Belgian company Anheuser -Busch InBev owns 50 percent ( non-voting ) in Grupo Modelo. End of June 2012 announced that Anheuser -Busch InBev, to take over the remaining shares for 20.1 billion U.S. dollars.

Grupo Modelo Breweries

The Cerveceria Modelo, founded in 1922, went on 25 October 1925 in production.   • Negra Modelo: brewed since 1926 and referred to as " the elite of the beer ." It is the best-selling dark beer in Mexico.
  • Pacífico: the traditional Pilsener Cerveceria del Pacífico the brewed since 1900. It is named after the Pacific Ocean, on the coast of the city of Mazatlan, home of the brewery is located.
