Grzegorz Janik

Grzegorz Piotr Janik (* June 27, 1965 in Rybnik ) is a Polish politician and served from 2005 to 2011 ( V. and VI. Term) Member of the Sejm.

After studying at the Jerzy Kukuczka - Sport University Katowice Janik worked as a sports teacher and director at a school center in Rybnik. He is chairman of the sports club ROW Rybnik. In the years 2002 to 2005 he sat in the Parliament of the Silesian Voivodeship.

In the 2005 parliamentary elections and Sejmwahlen he was for the electoral district of Rybnik on the list of the party Prawo i Sprawiedliwość - elected to the Sejm Law and Justice ( PiS). He was a member of the Sejm commissions for sports as well as for EU Affairs. In addition, he served as vice chairman of the permanent special commission for the preparation of Poland to the European Football Championship 2012. 2011 he was not re-elected.
