Grzęzno
Grzęzno ( German Weitenhagen ) is a village in the powiat Lobeski in Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Grzęzno belongs to the rural community Dobra ( formerly Dobra Nowogardzka, German Daber ).
Geographical location
Grzęzno located in Pomerania, in the lakes triangle Jezioro Ciesze ( Teetzsee ) Okrzeja ( Quernsee ) and Woświn ( Wothschwiensee ), about 60 kilometers east of Szczecin, about 5 kilometers west of Daber.
History
Weitenhagen in earlier times was a fief and manor of Dewitz family. Around 1780 there were in Weitenhagen a Barbican, a sheep, nine full- peasants, half peasant, a parish peasants, a schoolmaster and a total of 19 households.
In 1930 the boundaries of the municipality Weitenhagen had a surface area of 12.1 km ². In the district there were two living spaces:
In 1925, a total of 328 Einwohnwer were counted in the community Weitenhagen, which were distributed to 68 households.
Weitenhagen belonged before 1945 to the district of Pomerania in the Prussian province of Pomerania.
Towards the end of the Second World War, the town in early March 1945, occupied by the Red Army. After the war Weitenhagen was put together with all Pomerania under Polish administration. It started the immigration of Polish civilians of houses and farms seized. Weitenhagen was renamed the People's Republic of Poland in Grzęzno.
Traffic
The village is touched by any of the major traffic routes. Near the village only lead the province road 144 Nowogardzka ( Pomerania ) to Chociwel ( Freiwalde ) and the province road 146 from Jenikowo ( High Schönau ) to Łobez ( Labes ). To the north is Nowogardzka ( Pomerania ), removed with a railway station and the highway 6, 17 km. In the south is Chociwel ( Freiwalde ), on the railway line Szczecin - Gdynia ( Gdynia ) and the highway 20, located 14 kilometers away.
