Gschnaidt until the end of 2014 a municipality with 345 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria, in the northwest of the district of Graz-Umgebung. As part of the municipality of structural reform in Styria it is merged in 2015 with the communities of Jews Village Straßengel, Rein and Gratwein, the new community will be called market town Gratwein - Straßengel. This is based on the Styrian community structure reform law - StGsrG.

Geographical Location

Gschnaidt is located about 25 km northwest of the provincial capital of Graz in Stübing ditch, a tributary of the Murtal. The highest elevations in the municipality are the Heiggerkogel ( 1,098 m) and the Pleschkogel ( 1,061 m).

The community consists of a single homonymous cadastral district and village. The main town of the municipality is the Sanctuary of Saint Pankrazen, a Kirchweiler on a ridge, otherwise there is the hamlet Kornberg, the scattered houses Krienz, Plesch, Saint Pankrazen ( environment ), Stiwollgraben, Stübing ditch, and numerous individual plies (Abraham, Ambros, Enzianhof, Fox, Grabenfödl, grave Warter, Hasi, Hidner, Höfer, Kalbach, Kesselmeixner, small Lückanderl, Knoblacher, Kogler, Kohlbauer, Cross host Lenzbauer, Lück, Marx Bauer, Moises, Pagger, Platz, Pleschwirt, Ponkratzbauer, Prettenthaler, Rattich, Riemer, Saupart, Steinklauber, Thurner, Wolf at Egg, Zuri ), a typical residential situation of the area.

Gschnaidt is off the main roads. The nearest motorway junction to Phyrn motorway A 9 is the junction German Feistritzwerke (165 ) km in about 19 ​​distance. There is also access to Grazerstraße B 67, which also Gratkorn is possible at the same distance.

A train station is either in place or in your location. The nearest rail connection is made with the station Gratwein - Gratkorn to the Austrian Southern Railway in about 15 km distance.
