Guadalinex

Guadalinex is an Ubuntu -based Linux distribution that is supported and used by the Government of Andalusia (Spain). Guadalinex is specifically tailored to the needs of Spaniards living in Andalusia and is therefore sold only in Spanish.

It is used in:

  • Schools ( to over 300,000 computers and 180,000 netbooks )
  • Public Libraries
  • Homes for the elderly
  • Guadalinfo centers

It been more than 500,000 copies have been delivered.

The current stable release is version 8.0, which was released on 13 March 2012 and is also available as a 64- bit system. While earlier versions were based on a Debian system, Guadalinex has been building published in the June 2006 version 3.0 on Ubuntu.

Mascot

The choice of the mascot is carried out for each version of a survey .. All animals are represented in the survey, there are in the various provinces of Andalusia.
