Gudgenby River

BW

The Gudgenby River is a small river in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT ) ( Capital Territory of Australia), which will run through the forests of the Namadgi National Park for the most part. Its catchment area includes ecologically important alpine wetlands. The river rises in the Booth Range at the southern tip of the Australian Capital Territory, flows north and empties into the Murrumbidgee River at Tharwa.

Also the Gudgenby River was on its suitability as a drinking water supplier for the Australian capital Canberra and they examined surrounding territory. They suggested an alternative construction of two reservoirs at Mount Tennant before, a smaller one with a water content of 43 million cubic meters or larger with a water content of 159 million m³. The latter would be the water storage capacity in the ACT more than double.
