Guide Rock is a city in Webster County in the U.S. state of Nebraska.

According to the United States Census 2000 Guide Skirt 245 inhabitants, of whom 121 men and 124 women.

Location

Guide Rock is located in the southeast of Webster County, Nebraska at the Nebraska State Route 78 U.S. Highway 136 leads about two kilometers north past the place. The Republican River flows to the south.

History

Guide skirt was on 19 April 1870, the first settlement in Webster County. It takes its name from a rock of the state aid rules ( engl: guide) was used. The first post office in 1870, opened the first school on May 1, 1870. The town developed toward the 1880 incoming Burlington and Missouri River Railroad. 1883 Guide skirt was officially registered as a place. With The Guide rock signal was founded in the same year, the first weekly newspaper. Since there is still agriculture plays a major role, was already founded in 1892 the first grain processing enterprises. 1915 was followed by the Farmers' Union.
