Guilty Pleasure is the second solo album by Ashley Tisdale. In Germany it appeared on June 12, 2009. The release date by Warner Bros. Records was June 11, 2009 in Spain. In their home country, USA, the album was released only on 28 July 2009.

Background
In April 2008, Tisdale said that she had recorded a few songs for a new album and that they put the focus on the album after the completion of High School Musical 3. She noted that the songs from her album contain a message and history and each with the can relate to. Their music was influenced by Katy Perry and Pat Benatar, among others. The song " Switch" is also in the movie Aliens in the Attic - small but common, in which she plays a starring role, listen.
"I 've been working on the second album a year, and it is something quite different from the first album. In the first album, there was much to learn about yourself I've learned what I like, although I thought that I find pop and R & B well, I 've found that I prefer the " rock sound " like. I am now 23, and I have become larger, and wanted to show that I've become snappy and mature. I now see a different side of me that people did not know me. "
Content of the songs
Tisdale said the song " Hot Mess " is " about hanging out with a bad boy, that makes life interesting ." The song 'How Do You Love Someone " is " of a girl who is dealing with the separation of their parents. " Tisdale has also co-wrote some of the texts themselves, such as on the song "What If ". Tisdale described this song as the most personal and said, "It is written about a relationship in which you're straight, and you ask, 'If I really need you, then you were there? ' ".
