Guinean presidential election, 1993
The presidential election in Guinea in 1993 took place on 19 December 1993. After the introduction of a multiparty system in the year before the election since the country's independence was first held with several candidates.
Incumbent Lansana Conté was confirmed as the candidate of the party Parti de l' Unité et du Progres (PUP ) with 51.7 % in the first ballot for another five years in office. The elections were marred by numerous allegations of manipulation.
