Guipavas

Guipavas ( Gwipavaz Breton ) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in the west with 13,414 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). It belongs to the Communauté urbaine de Brest (CUB ), an association of municipalities in the metropolitan area with about 210,000 residents Brest.

Geography

The city center of Brest is located eight kilometers (km ) west. The distance to Paris is about 500 kilometers.

Adjacent communities are (clockwise from north): Plabennec, Kersaint- Plabennec, Saint- Divy, La Forest - Landerneau, Le Relecq -Kerhuon, Brest and Gouesnou.

Northwest of the village there is a junction with the motorway N 12 / E 50 (Brest - Rennes); south, the E 60 (Brest - Nantes ) can be achieved after a few kilometers.

The nearest train stations in the railway regional transport are located in Le Relecq -Kerhuon and in Brest. The train station in Brest is also also the final destination of the TGV Atlantique.

The regional airport of Brest / Guipavas Aeroport is located two kilometers north of the town center on the territory of the municipality.
