Gulf Ice Hockey Championship
The Hockey Cup of the Gulf ( Gulf Ice Hockey Championship English ) is an international ice hockey tournament for national teams in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC ). It was first held in May 2010 by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association and is - as the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia - by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF sanctioned.
The first winner of the tournament was the United Arab Emirates.

The first edition of the ice hockey championship of the Gulf was from 25 to 30 May 2010 in Kuwait capital Kuwait City instead. The competition was attended by four of the six nations of the Council. Only Bahrain and Qatar waived participation.
The tournament winners were the United Arab Emirates, who won all three tournament games. Kuwait finished second, while Saudi Arabia and Oman disputed international ice hockey games for the first time in its history.
