Gulf of Çandarlı

The Bay of Çandarlı (Turkish: Çandarlı Körfezi ) is a bay on the Aegean coast of Turkey between Çandarlı and Foça, in the south of the bay is the oil port Aliağa.

In ancient times, it was named the Gulf of Elaea after the Aeolian city Elaea. Except Elaea were still the cities Pitane and Myrina on the Bay, on the east and south Gryneion Kyme.

The river Bakırçay ( in ancient Caicos ) empties into the Bay.
