Gümüshanespor is a Turkish football club from Gümüşhane.

History

Association was founded

Gümüshanespor was founded in 1984 and is considered up to now as the only professional sports club in the Black Sea region in Turkey.

So far most successful period

The most successful season in their history was the season 1997 /98. The club was relegated to the second division and reached the sixth round in the Turkish Cup. The team retired in the sixth round against first division Kocaelispor. After the 1998/99 season but one rose again in the dtitte league. In the following season, however, went straight back to the second division and played there until the season 2003/04.

Return in the 3rd League

After the season 2003 /04 the club was relegated to the fourth division from and played for ten years in the TFF 3 ligament through the playoff victory in the Fourth League 2012/13 season the club reached the indirect promotion to the second TFF Lig
