Günter Drews

Günter Drews ( born July 9, 1967 in Berlin ) is a former German football player.

Career

As a native Berliner Günter Drews began his football career at SC late Marie village, which later merged with the Mariendorfer BC to Mariendorfer SV 06. From there he moved to BFC Preussen.

Drew made ​​his debut for Bayer 04 Leverkusen on March 5, 1985 in the Bundesliga when he came off the bench in a 3-1 home win against Eintracht Frankfurt in the 89th minute for Falko Goetz. His first Bundesliga two years later, he managed a 2-1 home win against VfL Bochum on May 2, 1987. After 46 games for Bayer in the summer of 1987 he moved to league rivals Hannover 96, where he played in two years, 43 times and scored eight goals. After descending to the 2nd Bundesliga 1989 Drews went to the 1st FC Nuremberg. Here, however, he could not prevail and denied until 1992 only 23 games.

In 1992, Drew to Switzerland to AC Bellinzona. However, in the spring of 1994 he returned to Germany and went to SpVgg Fürth in Bavaria the league. After a successful qualification for the Regional League, he played in the season 94/95 twelve games in the new league. In 1995 he moved to SpVgg Bayreuth.

One of the greatest successes in the career of Drew, who played a total of 112 Bundesliga games and was able to achieve ten goals, was the 2-0 final win at the U- 16 Football Championship in 1984.

Until the end of 2009 Günter Drews coached youth teams and 2 men's team of TSV 04 Feucht. Since late 2010, he coached the youth of the A2- SK run with great success.
