Günter Hirschmann

Günter Hirschmann ( born December 8, 1935 in Burg, near Magdeburg ) was soccer player in the GDR. In the Serie A, the highest East German football class, he played for the SC structure / 1 FC Magdeburg.

Biography

His footballing career started Günter Hirschmann 1947 at SG sports fans, later unit castle. 1955 changed the technician to engine mid Magdeburg, where he was able to fight after a short a regular place and his nickname " Mosquito " was given. In 1957 he was delegated by the team of motor center to the SC structure Magdeburg, who later became the first FC Magdeburg. He played until 1969 for the 1.FC Magdeburg and its predecessor teams 330 point games ( of which 162 in the GDR Oberliga in which he in the league ) scored 113 goals (47. Moreover, he completed 25 Cup games with 11 goals and five European games.

His greatest successes are the cup victories with the SC building 1964, 1965 and the FCM 1969. Doing so, he became the final against the SC Motor Jena in 1965 match-winner when he converted a penalty kick in a 2-1 victory in the 89th minute.

On April 16, 1961, appointed to the GDR national Günter Hirschmann Heinz Krügel. The 0-2 defeat against Hungary remained his only game.

After ending his playing days was Günter Hirschmann coach in the junior 1.FC Magdeburg. In addition, he worked as a fitter in heavy machinery Kombinat Ernst Thalmann. He now lives in retirement in Magdeburg.
