Günther Babel

Günther Babel ( born September 26, 1952 in Wassertruedingen ) is a German politician ( CSU), and was from 2003 to April 2008 Member of the Bavarian Parliament.

Life

After elementary and vocational school, he completed an agricultural teaching and later a technician and master training. From 1974 to 1988, Babel worked as a technical teacher and in 1988 as assistant principal at the school in agricultural machinery Triesdorf.

Babel is Protestant, married and has two adult children.

Political career

In 1972 he joined the CSU and in 1990 a member of the City Council Wassertruedingen. Since 1995 Babylon CSU local chairman in Wassertruedingen, as well as a member of the CSU district organization leadership in the district of Ansbach. After moving into the district council of the district of Ansbach in 1996 and the election of the deputy mayor of Wassertruedingen 2002, he moved in 2003 surprisingly one of the Bavarian Landtag. There Babel was a member of the Committee on Health, Environment and Consumer Protection.

In March 2008, Günther Babel was elected as the new Mayor of the city Wassertruedingen.
